Kim Jung Hyun is a South Korean actor and model, best known for Hyun Tae Woon in "School 2017", Goo Seung Joon in "Crash Landing on You", and King Cheoljong of Joseon in "Mr. Queen".

He studied acting at the Korea National University of Arts and made his debut in the 2015 film "Overman". Television followed: a recurring role as Pyo Chi Yeol in "Don't Dare to Dream" (2016), then Ko Man Soo — a man from 1979 whose frozen body wakes in 2016 — in "Ice Binggoo", and Mo Ri in "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", before "School 2017" gave him a leading role. In 2018 he led "Laughter in Waikiki" as Kang Dong Goo, a good-hearted young man known as an icon of misfortune who dreams of directing films, and joined "Time" as Cheon Su Ho.

In August 2018 his agency announced that he was leaving "Time" on health grounds, having been suffering from an eating disorder and a sleep disorder, with his doctor's view that he needed psychological and physical rest. He was away from the industry for close to a year, returning officially on July 31, 2019 for the script reading of "Crash Landing on You". He played Goo Seung Joon through to that series' end in February 2020, and followed it with Cheoljong — described as the Jekyll and Hyde of the Joseon dynasty — in "Mr. Queen", and a double role as an underworld god and a doctor in "Kokdu: Season of Deity" (2023).

He also records songs for the dramas he appears in, among them "Like The First Snow" for "Mr. Queen" and "I Am" for "Kokdu: Season of Deity". His work has been recognised with Best New Actor at the 2017 MBC Drama Awards for "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", and a Top Excellence Award at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards for "Iron Family".

He was with O& Entertainment until May 2021 and joined Story J Company that September; he is now represented by Management Seesun.
